初めまして!/Gun action made by the Japanese in earnest


Nice to meet you, I'm usually a student studying programming at a technical college in Japan.

I'd like to talk about the game that I completed in 3 months and I'd like to talk about the difficulties and things I noticed after I finished the project!

First of all, the hardest part of the game's development was the AI of the monsters to fight with.
This was my first time creating an AI, so I had to work hard to make it less mechanical. We had to make the monster's movements more natural and cute, such as recognizing the closest enemy and attacking it, jumping to attack it if it didn't hit the enemy, and following the player when it was far enough away from the enemy the player recognized.

After completing this game, I realized once again that it is very important to make the design of the UI consistent with the world view.
The UI of this game uses very cool materials, but it doesn't integrate well with the worldview and feels a little bit floaty.
